If you are at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend, take a short walk to the west and you will find a temporary track with youngsters racing QuarterMidget sprint cars. The QuarterMidget sprints are a stepping stone to the upper divisions of USAC.

Kids as young as five years old race in divisions separated by age and weight. Fourteen divisions are racing for trophies this weekend in conjunction with the IndyCar Series and USAC Silver Crown/Midget event taking place on the mile oval.

The track length is 1/20th of a mile and the junior division includes ten cars per race with twelve drivers packing a senior division race.

Heat races take place on Friday with the main events contested on Saturday.
