Schedule Revised for Indy 500 Open Test at IMS

With a forecast of inclement weather over the next few days, INDYCAR has updated the hours of its Indy 500 Open Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to maximize time on track.

NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers and teams will participate from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. ET Thursday, April 20 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, April 21 on the famed 2.5-mile oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Open Test is being conducted in advance of the 107th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 28.

Veterans will take to the oval from 10 a.m.- noon Thursday, with the Rookie Orientation Program and refresher tests from noon-2 p.m. All eligible participants will be permitted on track from 2-6:30 p.m. Friday’s testing is open to all drivers eligible for participation.

The Turn 2 Viewing Mounds will be open for public viewing. The test will be streamed live on Peacock for U.S. residents.
