Rain Washes Out USAC Sprints At Ocala

Ocala, Fla. – Rain washed out the second round of AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series action at the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla., on Friday night. The rained-out event will not be re-scheduled and the “Bubba’s Winter Dirt Games” series will conclude on Saturday evening with a full schedule of racing.

Qualifications were completed and Brady Bacon, who finished third on Thursday evening, lowered the track record on the 1/3-mile oval to 14.339 seconds, but the new standard has been erased due to the postponement. All entrants will have to re-qualify for Saturday night’s finale.

Bryan Clauson set the qualification mark of 14.409 seconds on Thursday. Levi Jones had been the previous standard bearer at 14.758, setting the mark a year ago.
