Ty Majeski came back from an early pit stop and restarted 15th to charge through the field and take the win the in rain shortened Father’s Day 100 at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisconsin. This is Majeski’s record setting 27th victory in the ARCA Midwest Tour.

“It’s good to be here,” Majeski said in victory lane. “The race just went our way today. We had an OK car to start, I was just managing track position knowing we were going make it a two stop race. Looking at the radar, we decided to gamble at the lap 30 caution and put tires on that is why we were able to get through the field as we were doing. Sometimes it just goes your way.”

Majeski, who was also the fast qualifier with a lap speed of 124.611 mph, started 17th and was up to seventh by the lap 30 competition caution. He restarted 15th and was back in the top ten by lap 37.

Jonathan Eilen paced the field for the first 22 laps, until Dalton Zehr took over the top spot and led until lap 29 when Luke Fenhaus passed him for the lead.

On the restart on lap 36, Fenhaus held the lead while Zehr battled him for the top spot.

The two got together going down the backstretch with both making contact with the wall, and coming to a stop in turn four on lap 39 causing both of them to drop out of the race. Casey Johnson would inherit the top spot.

Johnson led until Gabe Sommers got by the defending ARCAMT champion for the top spot on lap 47.

While Sommers led the field, Majeski made his march to the front by getting to fourth on lap 49, then third on lap 51, and second on lap 52.

Five laps later, Majeski made the winning move by passing Sommers to take the lead and would continue to lead until Mother Nature opened up the skies with the checkered flag flying on lap 81.

“I was just managing, I was probably a second or a half second faster and I kept telling myself. to manage, manage, manage cause if it did go green and it didn’t rain we would have to fend those guys off on older tires,” Majeski said about keeping his car up front for the finish. “Thankfully, Mother Nature into play and we played right.”

Sommers held off a late charge from defending winner Austin Nason for second. Sammy Smith was fourth with Carson Kvapil rounding out the top five.

The ARCA Midwest Tour will be back in action on Saturday, July 10th for the Wayne Carter Classic at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Illinois.
