Kyle Larson Favorite To Win Drivers’ Championship At All-Star break

We’ve reached All-Star weekend and oddsmakers have turned their attention toward the Cup Series market. They’ve decided to back a major underdog to win it all.

Kyle Larson currently sits 9th in the Drivers’ Championship standings, but he’s the odds-on favorite to win the whole thing. Oddsmakers give Larson +550 odds, or an implied 15.4% chance to win back-to-back championships. His biggest competition is Championship leader Chase Elliott who’s given +650 odds, or an implied 13.3% chance to take it home.

Third on the list is William Byron at +800, or an implied 11.1% chance to find his groove again and take home the title. Then Kyle Busch and Ross Chastain are tied at +900, or an implied 10% chance to take home NASCAR’s top prize.

The most noticeable driver not among the favorites is Ryan Blaney, currently second place in the championship. Oddsmakers give Blaney +1000 odds, or an implied 9.1% chance. That ties him with Denny Hamlin, 20th place in the standings, and Joey Logano, 7th place.
