Korean Grand Prix Preview

As the formula one season continues on this week,
the past street circuit of Singapore now gives to a track that is set on the western
part of Korea on a track that was built by Herman Tilke just a few years ago
named the Yeongnam International Circuit that with this weekend’s grand prix,
is already in a load of trouble.

This track is very slightly attended by most, mainly
because of its very dismal area, with its very low population, and it even to
make matter’s worse, has a rumor saying that a pit crew member put a jug of
milk in the refrigerator and found it a year later in the same spot. Whether
this a fact is unknown, but the track itself is rarely used for anything except
this weekend’s event, and the fact that this track is also provisional for 2014
is not giving many people hope that it will return to the spring, which it
happens to be slotted right after the Chinese Grand Prix in March.

Considering mostly negative reviews, the circuit
does have a long straight, which occurs right between turns two and three and
in addition, between turns six to nine can nearly be taken at full throttle,
which means that the water, oil and fuel will literally move during this
transition. If that was not tough enough, turns 14-16 are put into second,
third, and fourth gears where the driver takes his foot on and off the pedal.

These challenges is what makes this track great to
drive on, but unfortunately, the status of this circuit as far as money and
popularity might have a good chance of having it removed from the racing calendar.
