Keegan Kincaid Aims to Increase COR Pro 2 Points Lead at Crandon Brush Run

After sweeping the first two rounds of the 2021 Championship Off-Road season at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway, professional off-road racer Keegan Kincaid resumes his quest for the title at Crandon International Raceway this weekend. The second event of the year sees the return of the Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run to its traditional June date, and Kincaid’s first race of the year at his home track in the #4 Lucas Oil Pro 2 truck.

“I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel at Crandon this weekend!” said Kincaid. “We had an amazing start to the year in Antigo, and we’ve got all the momentum heading into the first race of the year at my home track. With the support of the best team and partners in the business, everything really came together in a big way for the opener. There’s no reason we can’t take that to the next level this weekend, so the rest of the field had better watch out!”

The return of off-road racing to Antigo for the first time in nearly a decade also featured professional teams for the first time in 16 years, but a lack of recent experience at the track was no deterrent for Kincaid. Armed with a revitalized race program and a fresh outlook for the new season, the 2021 Pro 2 runner-up doubled up on winning COR season openers in the Saturday race after doing the same at ERX Motor Park last year. On Sunday, he added a second victory for good measure, completing the clean sweep of the weekend. The wins came against one of the deepest fields in recent Pro 2 history, as many of the premier teams from the west coast have shifted to COR full-time for the 2021 season.

Three weeks later, Kincaid heads home to Crandon with unfinished business from last season. In an almost pristine 2020 season, his only finish off of the podium all year—still a fourth place result—came in this event. Nonetheless, a return to The Big House always brings big potential for the Crandon native. As a multi-time Potawatomi Cup winner and the 2016 World Cup winner on Labor Day weekend, he’s always looked at not only to take the win in the Pro 2 class, but also in Sunday’s Cup race that pits both the Pro 2 and Pro 4 classes against one another.
