Racing For The Fans – Dr. Don Panoz: The Man Who Founded The American Le Mans Series | M1TG
Widely regarded as the man who brought European-style sportscar racing to the United States of America, Dr. Don Panoz’s vision was one which merged a love for racing with entrepreneurial ambition. A scientist and a businessman by trade, Panoz worked with the ACO to bring Petit Le Mans to his very own track of Road Atlanta, and has since been a leading figure in the development of Hybrid racing technology. Doug Fehan, Wayne Taylor and Bill Auberlen all featured. (Image Credit: Jamey Price Photo)
