Clermont, Ind., July 25—NASCAR Sprint Cup star Kyle Busch only led from turn four to the checkered flag in the Circle City 100 CRA Super Series super late model event Friday night at the Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis but it was just enough to edge John Hunter Nemechek in a fender rubbing finish.

“It was a fun race and I enjoyed it, “Busch told the emotionally split crowd afterwards, “You’ll get that but I won the race just like Earnhardt would so it’s fun to be here and there’s opportunities for young guys like John Hunter (Nemechek) to take them a long ways.” “I saw him keep getting tighter and tighter in the middle of the corner and I felt my car was rolling it OK, “Busch continued, “I just timed it right there in the center of the corner, snapped the brake and tried to get the front tires loaded and turn which slowed him down and it was a drag race from there.”

“It was definitely an awesome run, “ Nemechek after leading the most laps before coming up just a few feet short at the finish, “but it sucks to lose it in the last corner like that, especially after leading so many laps. It is still good though.”

Chad Finley raced with the leaders throughout the event and came home with a solid third place finish while Alec Carl and Travis Braden rounded out the top five finishers.

Ross Kenseth charged to the lead at the drop of the green flag and paced the event for the first 53 laps, often times racing intensely with Busch and Nemechek before a slow leak in a tire caused him to fade to eighth at the finish.
