Best Seats In House Are Selling Out For F1 US Grand Prix

As the Formula 1 movie Rush opens, best seats in house are selling out for 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX
Experience the drama of F1 racing first-hand at the country’s only Formula 1 racetrack this November!

AUSTIN, Texas (Sept. 24, 2013) – Race fans eager to catch Universal Pictures’ new film Rush, due in theaters this Friday, Sept. 27, can see the real thing-the thrill Formula 1 racing at its very best, up close and personal-this November at the country’s only F1 racetrack in Austin, Texas.

Time is running out to buy the best seats in the house for North Americas’ new must-see event, the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, set for Nov. 15-17 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA). Sports fans, thrill seekers and experience junkies should act now to reserve their seats and be part of the sheer spectacle that is the world’s most popular motorsports and entertainment event.

Reserved seats in the COTA’s popular Turn 12 grandstand will be gone soon; the venue’s premium seating locations-the Main Grandstand, Turn 1 and Turn 15-are already sold out. Turn 12 offers stunning views of the COTA’s 1.2-mile Back Straight, where F1 drivers reach speeds of up to 200-plus miles per hour, as well as the challenging Stadium Section, which begins at Turn 12 and continues through Turn 18. This section of the Grade I, 3.4-mile circuit, which was designed by the world-renowned F1 track architect Hermann Tilke, was patterned after a similar configuration at the famed Hockenheimring in Germany.

“Turn 12 has everything race fans love; the F1 cars are coming from the fastest section of the track, and it is the best place to pass at COTA, as 2012 Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton proved last year,” Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Geoff Moore said. “In addition to the great views, Turn 12 is close to the Grand Plaza and Austin360 Amphitheater where a variety of interactive exhibits and displays, demonstrations, great food and live music can be enjoyed throughout the weekend. We encourage anyone wanting to experience the rush of F1 racing in person, to take advantage of our Turn 12 seats while they’re still available.”

Turn 12 reserved bleacher seats are $499 per person for a three-day ticket and include individual tickets to Friday’s practice sessions (Nov. 15), Saturday’s practice and qualifying sessions (Nov. 16) and Sunday’s races (Nov. 17). Given the quality view and the convenient location of these seats, single-day tickets are not available in the Turn 12 seating section.

Tickets for reserved seats in Turn 12 and other grandstand locations, along with general admission passes, can be purchased online at www.circuitoftheamericas.com (under the EVENTS section of the website) or www.ticketmaster.com. For information on personal seat licenses for Formula 1 events and other motorsports and entertainment programming at Circuit of The Americas, call the Circuit’s Sales Team at 512.301.6600 and press “1” to be connected to a sales representative.

Circuit of The Americas hosted its inaugural FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX in November 2012 and enjoyed rave reviews from race fans, national and international media, and F1 teams and drivers. COTA achieved the second-highest attendance for a Grand Prix race last year, with 117,429 spectators on race day. More than 265,000 fans visited COTA during the weekend, making it the third most-attended event of the 2012 season. The event was named “Sports Event of the Year” by SportsBusiness Journal/Daily.
