Audi, Peugeot And Porsche Hybrid Headline Upcoming Petit Lemans At Road Atlanta
- Updated: September 20, 2010
Orlando, FL – (September 20, 2010) – The longest sports car race in North America will take place next week September 29-October 2 at Road Atlanta’s 2.54-mile, 12-turn road course located roughly one hour northeast of Atlanta.
With German powerhouse Audi not running at Sebring last Spring, it will be a rematch of Audi and Peugeot and their epic duel from LeMans in June and last year’s race in the rain. It’ll also be the return of LeMans meister, Tom Kristenson to Road Atlanta. The eight-time 24 Hours of LeMans winner will be there at the 1000-mile / ten-hour race, his first appearance in four years.
The other big news is the debut of the much anticipated Porsche Hybrid. Featuring an all-star line-up with reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans winners, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller, this time in the groundbreaking Porsche. The trio returns to the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr
