ARCA RE/MAX Series: The 46th annual Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona is coming Saturday, February 7th at the “World Center of Racing” at Daytona Int’l Speedway. The event, which precedes NASCAR’s Budweiser Shootout, is LIVE on SPEED at 4:00 PM ET.

In addition to LIVE coverage on SPEED, there will be LIVE Timing & Scoring at arcaracing.com of all the on-track activity including LIVE audio of pole qualifying and the race.

Plus: The ARCA Racing Network (ARN) is set to return for a full season of ARCA RE/MAX Series event coverage on arcaracing.com.

After making its debut in 2008, series officials have announced that all 22 races in 2009 would be part of the overall programming package, set to kick off at Daytona Int’l Speedway with LIVE online coverage of the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 Saturday, February 7th.

Online coverage throughout the year includes LIVE Timing & Scoring of all on-track activity as well as LIVE audio feeds of Pole Award Qualifying and flag to flag audio coverage of the races, including pre- and post-race shows. LIVE scanner feeds between drivers and crew members will also be carried over the network during selected programming segments.

Entrants include Joe Gibbs Racing’s Joey Logano, nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel and five-time Daytona winner Bobby Gerhart, aiming for an unprecedented 6th Daytona victory. Kimmel, despite solid finishes of second at Daytona in 2004 and 2005 and a pair of third place finishes in 2001 and 2002, is winless at the legendary 2.5-mile superspeedway. Third generation racer Will Kimmel, Frank’s nephew, is also entered in a Kimmel Racing Ford. Will was fastest overall in single car runs at the Daytona test in December.

Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) has already filed three entries with rookie drivers’ Tim George, Jr., Steve Arpin and Craig Goess. While George has two series starts in 2008, both Arpin and Goess will be making their series debuts at Daytona. ESR made news in 2008 becoming the first team in series history to field three full-time teams in ARCA. ESR’s line-up of drivers last year included Scott Speed, who has moved onto the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full-time in ’09, and Ken Butler III, who is headed for the Nationwide Series full-time this year.

AMA Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael is also entered in a DeLana Harvick-owned Chevrolet.

Additional notable entrants include defending race winner Michael Annett, 1999 series champion Bill Baird, Cartersville GA’s Mark Thompson, as well as local Daytona Beach favorite Alli Owens in the ElectrifyingCareers.com Toyota.

Toledo & Flat Rock Speedway: Next events will be the annual car shows at the Frenchtown Square Mall in Monroe, Michigan March 20th, and at Westfield Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio March 27th.
