ABC Supply Co. Inc. Joins Milwaukee 225 Weekend Sponsor List

Wisconsin-based Building Products Distributor Added to Growing List of Sponsors for Big Racing Weekend at “The Mile”

WEST ALLIS, WI (May 20, 2011)- Wisconsin-based building products distributor ABC Supply Co. Inc. has signed on as an event sponsor of the IZOD IndyCar Series Milwaukee 225 IndyCar Weekend. The 185-mile-per-hour action will take place June 18-19 at the historic Milwaukee Mile at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis., the longest-running auto racing facility in North America.

Headquartered in Beloit, Wis., ABC Supply is the largest wholesale-distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation’s largest distributors of siding, windows and other select exterior building products. It has more than 450 branches and nearly 7,000 associates in 44 states.

The company is no stranger to the IZOD IndyCar Series or the Milwaukee Mile. Since 2005 it has been the major sponsor of the #14 ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt Racing Indy Car, now driven by the popular Vitor Meira. It also sponsored its first race at the Milwaukee Mile in 2005.

The Milwaukee 225, an AB Promotions event, features seven unique racing elements during the two-day motorsports extravaganza including races from the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, Star Mazda, US Formula 2000, USAC Silver Crown, USAC Midgets and USAC .25 Midgets (on the special short track).

Competing on the nation’s longest-running race track (since 1903) for the Milwaukee 225 weekend, the list of driving stars will include Meira, the first pole winner at the Mile in an IZOD IndyCar Series race, defending IZOD IndyCar Series champion and Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, three-time Indy 500 titleholder Helio Castroneves, two-time series champion and 2009 Milwaukee winner Scott Dixon, former Milwaukee Mile race winners Ryan Briscoe and Ryan Hunter-Reay, and young stars Graham Rahal, Marco Andretti, Danica Patrick and Simona de Silvestro.

The action-packed weekend features ticket prices as low as $35 for Sunday infield general admission for adults, $15 for teenagers (12-16) and children under 12 are free. Sunday grandstand tickets begin at $35.
