2013 Charlotte Motor Speedway Season Packed With Entertainment

CONCORD, N.C. (Jan. 7, 2013) – Fans can expect more entertainment than ever
before at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2013 with an unprecedented lineup of
events to enjoy with family and friends. The legendary complex, which also
encompasses zMAX Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte, has a jam-packed
schedule filled with NASCAR, NHRA and World of Outlaws national events, gigantic
car shows, concerts, a 5K charity run, miles of Christmas lights and more.

In 2013, Charlotte Motor Speedway will once again host the biggest back-to-back
weekends in racing with a 10-day festival of speed spanning from May 17 to May
26. The May motorsports megafest is highlighted by the 29^th NASCAR Sprint
All-Star Race on May 18 and the ultimate iron-man race, the 54^th running of the
Coca-Cola 600, on May 26. In the fall, the stars of NASCAR will return for a
homecoming as Charlotte Motor Speedway hosts the only Saturday night race in the
Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Bank of America 500, on Oct. 12.

Car enthusiasts can rejoice with the return of the spring Food Lion AutoFair,
April 4-7, to its traditional first weekend in April, plus the fall Food Lion
AutoFair, Sept. 19-22, as well as the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals, Oct.
25-27. Grassroots racing will also return in 2013 as the Summer Shootout Series
celebrates its 20^th year with 10 nights of Legend Car and Bandolero
competition.

zMAX Dragway’s schedule is anchored by two major NHRA events. The greatest
spectacle in drag racing, the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, returns April 19-21 to
the Bellagio of drag strips. All four professional categories will race
four-wide all weekend long on the only four-lane, all-concrete drag strip in the
world. Traditional two-wide drag racing hits zMAX Dragway Sept. 13-15, as the
NHRA Nationals kick-off the NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship.

New to the dragway this year is an X-DRL Drag Racing Series event on Oct. 25-26.
The eighth-mile drag racing series features nine professional categories of the
fastest door cars on the planet as they battle in the series’ finale. Area drag
racing enthusiasts can also have some fun in March with an open Test and Tune on
the 2^nd, followed by the new King of the Track Championship weekend March 8 and
9.

The Dirt Track at Charlotte will once again be the home of the biggest weekend
in dirt racing, the PEAK Motor Oil World of Outlaws World Finals, Nov. 7-9. Back
for the seventh consecutive year, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car and Late Model
Series and the Big-Block Modifieds of the Super DIRTcar Series will come
together for a three-day, season-ending event, culminating in the crowning of
new series champions.

In addition, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will make a stop at The Dirt
Track on May 24 for the Circle K NOS Energy Outlaw Showdown, and a
family-favorite, the Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash, will return
Aug. 10.

There is something for everyone on the schedule, including music-lovers,
fitness-enthusiasts and families. Returning for the third consecutive year is
the Faith, Family and Freedom Concert on June 22 at zMAX Dragway. New to the
schedule is popular hard rock and heavy metal music festival Carolina Rebellion.
The two-day event will be held May 4-5 at Rock City Campgrounds and feature more
than a dozen bands.

During the holiday season, Speedway Christmas, one of the largest holiday
drive-thru light shows in the country, returns for the fourth year, offering
more than 3.5 miles of lights and 800 displays. On Dec. 7, there will also be a
chance to give back and have fun with the third annual Speed for Children in
Need 5K, which also includes a track walk and a Kid’s Dash.
