Townsend Bell to drive the Robert Graham Special in Indianapolis 500

Long Beach, Calif. – Dreyer & Reinbold – Kingdom Racing announced that Townsend Bell will drive its No. 24 Robert Graham Special in this year’s Indianapolis 500. Bell, 39, will compete in his ninth Indy 500, and he will do it in a Chevrolet-powered car. For Robert Graham, the New York-based luxury men’s fashion brand, the company will be the primary partner of Bell’s entry for the second year in a row.

“It feels like coming home to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing and we have had a nice head start thanks to the team,” Bell said. “I feel like we are on top of it as all the details are being addressed and we are turning over every leaf thinking about how we are going to go out and win this race. We had a great run going last year, getting all the way up to second from 25th. One thing I am looking for this year is how I can put myself in a stronger position to win the race. I have to make sure I have a gun in a gunfight if I get to the top-five again.

“Between television racing sports cars in the TUDOR Championship, the 500 and the 24 Hours of LeMans for the first time, I will be pretty busy for a while.”

Added Dennis Reinbold, “We are excited to have Townsend back with us once again. We have done a number of races together and always enjoyed working with him as we are very much like-minded. We are ready to hit the ground running in May.”

The No. 24 Robert Graham Special will salute NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon with the 24 script on Bell’s car will match the No.24 on Gordon’s Chevrolet race car. The car will be unveiled in Indianapolis during the Grand Prix weekend.
