Rain Postpones ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway
- Updated: August 21, 2016
By Joe Jennings
Long Pond, Penna. – As projected, heavy rains descended on the Pocono Mountains and the Pocono Raceway as pre-race activities for the ABC Supply 500 were underway. Due to the ominous forecast, the Verizon IndyCar Series race was postponed until Monday at Noon ET. The rain-delayed event will be telecast by the NBCSN.
Pocono Raceway officials have to feel snake bitten by the weather gods as the same scenario played out for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in June and August. Each event was run on the following Monday.
