Rahal Leads Field In Afternoon Practice

Elkhart Lake, WI – Graham Rahal picked up the pace in the second round of Verizon IndyCar Series practice for the KOHLER Grand Prix at Road America.

Pacing the four mile track at 140.265 mph, Rahal’s time of 1:43:0224 was just over two tenths of a second quicker than Simon Pagenaud’s fast lap in the morning session.

Team Penske drivers Will Power and Juan Pablo Montoya split Tony Kannan with the second and fourth quickest laps.

Carlos Munoz, who was second quick in the morning practice, was fifth quick this afternoon.

Pagenaud’s afternoon quick lap of 1:43.0625 in the afternoon was 15th overall.

Three rounds of knockout qualifying are scheduled for Saturday to set the field for Sunday’s running of the KOHLER Grand Prix a 50 lap race broadcast on NBCSN at 12:30pm ET.
