Motorsports historian Steve Zautke of joins Matt Regashus of WSSP Sportsradio 1250AM Radio to talk open wheel racing monthly on the yet unnamed Open Wheel Podcast. Check out the debut podcast as the duo reviews the IndyCar season and discusses the impact of adding IZOD as their title sponsor. Zautke is a veteran of Sparky’s Final Inspection, a NASCAR-based radio show that airs on Saturday afternoons during the racing season.

WSSP’s Regashus is a native of Indiana and has been an IndyCar fan his whole life who offers his unique perspective on the racing scene. Popular blogger Bill “Pressdog” Zahren joins the debut podcast and reveals his views on the IZOD IndyCar Series. Each podcast will feature a guest from the world of motorsports and offers a unique perspective on the world of IndyCar, Formula 1, Grand-Am, American LeMans Series and even some sprint car and midget auto racing. The second podcast just released has editor John Wiedemann as a guest offering his opinions on the world of auto racing.

Steve Zautke, a Milwaukee, WI native, was raised in the sport of auto racing. His father, Bill, was a movie photographer that shot racing footage at tracks such as the Milwaukee Mile and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the 1960’s and 1970’s Steve’s first professional job in racing was as an Emergency Medical Technician at tracks such as Angell Park and Hales Corners Speedway (1988-1991). Steve has also worked for the Milwaukee Mile as videographer, in media relations and historian (1993-2011). Steve also has worked as a reporter for Racing Information Systems (RIS) and has written features for ‘Vintage Oval Racing’ and ‘Victory Lane’ magazines. Most recently, Steve has written a book on Road America for Arcadia Publishing.
