Pro Motorcycle Road Racing Returns To Road America

THE MOTOAMERICA (AMA/FIM) SUBWAY SUPERBIKE DOUBLEHEADER
ELKHART LAKE, Wis., May 20, 2015 – America’s fastest production-based road racing motorcycles return to Road America May 29-31, as the newly formed MotoAmerica (AMA/FIM) series makes its first visit to Wisconsin for the MotoAmerica (AMA/FIM) SUBWAY Superbike Doubleheader.
The fast and flowing 4-mile road course at Road America is one of the most exciting and challenging tracks on the MotoAmerica 2015 schedule and will serve as the field of battle for round four of the 2015 MotoAmerica campaign featuring five different classes of motorcycles in a double-header format. Superbike, Superstock 1000, Supersport and Superstock 600 classes will have races on both Saturday and Sunday. New this year, Road America will host Round 1 of the KTM RC 390 Cup, a new class open to riders age 14-22.
The on-track action gets underway at 9 a.m., on Friday, May 29, with practice and first qualifying sessions throughout the day. Final qualifying will take place on Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. The afternoon’s three races begin at 1 p.m., and the day will conclude with the KTM Cup race at 4 p.m.
Sunday’s schedule starts with warm-up sessions at 8 a.m., and the Dunlop Fan Walk/Autograph Session that begins at 10:15 a.m. Sunday’s five races start at 11:30 a.m. and the day’s action will conclude at approximately 5 p.m.
Off the track, the Road America Motorplex will be open for public karting while also hosting the AMA Supermoto National Championship Series on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stunt rider Bill Dixon will also be performing throughout the weekend in the paddock.
