Indianapolis, Indiana is home for one of the most prestigious and legendary racetracks in the world, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Speedway, known as “The Racing Capital of the World” is home to the Indianapolis 500, INDYCAR Grand Prix, and the Brickyard 400 as well as other motorsports and even golf events like the LPGA Indy Women In Tech Championship on the Brickyard Crossing golf course that includes four holes in the infield of the speedway.

Indianapolis the city is the capital and the largest in the state of Indiana. The city is the economic and cultural center of the Indianapolis metropolitan area with many various options for dining and entertainment.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, located five miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis on the grounds of “The Greatest Race Course in the World,” and is recognized as one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing. In 1987, the Speedway grounds were honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark.
Lucas Oil Raceway is a multipurpose auto racing facility with a world class quarter-mile drag strip and .686 mile oval track. Events at the track include the USAC “Night Before the 500” and the Red Bull Global Rally Cross on the oval and the NHRA US Nationals on the drag strip. Located just seven miles from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the track features many local events as well.
Only a couple blocks from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway Indoor Karting is a new world class indoor karting facility that provides visitors of all ages and experience, the opportunity to experience racing through driving on both a European style, multi-level track as well as a banked Super Speedway oval.
Located directly across the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Dawson’s on Main is known for friendly service, great steaks, fresh seafood, local craft beers, and the best Hoosier tenderloin around.
