(May 25, 2015) – Chris Windom, piloting an entry for Goacher Racing, scored his second victory in the Little 500, a 500-lap pavement Sprint Car race at Anderson Speedway (Ind.), taking command of the event for good with his pass for the lead on lap 427. Windom first won the race, an annual event dating back to 1949, in 2011.

“It’s the hardest laps of your life,” said Windom, of driving 500 laps around the quarter-mile track. “You have to go as hard as you can and you’re worn out. I can barely stand up, but we got the win.”

This is Windom’s first win of the 2015 season. He last scored a Sprint Car feature win at Lawrenceburg Speedway (Ind.) in June 2014.

Windom is also transitioning to Stock Car racing via the ARCA Series. He has four finishes of eighth or better in six career ARCA starts, including a third-place finish at the Du Quoin Fairgrounds in Illinois.
