2008 ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series Schedule Released

New Stops in Iowa, Canada & Ohio Spice-Up 08 Tour

TOLEDO OH (11-30-07) ? With a full head of steam, and a title sponsor signed through 2009, the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, headed toward its 10th consecutive season of competition, has released its 2008 schedule with 15 championship events across six states and Canada.

The season opens at Anderson Speedway (IN) on April 19th and stretches through to its championship weekend season finale at Toledo Speedway (OH) on October 11th.

In between are a wide variety of tracks, on pavement and dirt, ranging in size from a quarter mile to one mile in length.

?We?ve worked hard to define what the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series is and where we see it going,? said ARCA Vice President of Competition Joe Wells. ?Working with our teams, sponsors, track operators, chassis and engine builders and tour officials to develop our plan, we feel good about the 2008 season and beyond.?

New venues in 2008 include trips to Iowa Speedway in Newton, Cayuga Speedway Park in Nelles Corner, Ontario and Sandusky Speedway in Sandusky, Ohio. After a year?s hiatus, the series will also return to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile dirt to open up the 86th annual DuQuoin State Fair.

Tracks returning for events in 2008, in addition to Toledo and Anderson, include the Illinois State Fairgrounds mile dirt in Springfield during the 153rd annual Illinois State Fair, Winchester Speedway (IN), Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kil-Kare Speedway (OH), Flat Rock Speedway (MI), Salem Speedway (IN) as well as two more stops in Ontario Canada at Sauble Speedway in Sauble Beach and Delaware Speedway in Delaware.

Tour highlights include six companion events with the nationally touring ARCA RE/MAX Series at Salem, Toledo (twice), Kentucky, the Illinois State Fairgrounds and Cayuga.
